Common questions
Why can’t I find a word that exists?
The dictionary includes a frequency-selected subset of JMdict, so some rare and technical entries are missing. You can suggest a word by email for a future update.
Does it need an internet connection?
The dictionary and handwriting search work offline. Opening external support or licence links may use an internet connection.
The handwriting search did not find my character
Matching uses stroke count and shape. Try drawing the character again with its usual stroke order. If it still does not appear, please send us the character and a screenshot.
Are my searches recorded?
The app does not save a search history or send your dictionary searches to Ludofax.
How do I change the language?
Open Settings → Language to choose English or Japanese. By default, the interface follows your device language, using English when that language is not supported.
Reporting a problem
Please describe what happened and the steps that led to the problem. Include a screenshot if it helps, and remove personal information you do not want to share. See the privacy policy for how support messages are handled.
